A magnificent woolly mammoth femur recovered from the North Sea in the Dogger Bank region where Ice Age remains are occasionally brought to the surface by commercial fishing vessels.

Dating to 80,000-30,000 years old this exceptionally impressive specimen offers a remarkable sense of the sheer scale of one of the most iconic mammals to have ever walked the earth.

standing at 104cm tall the femur has a commanding presence and makes an exceptional natural history display piece for a collection, gallery, office or interior space.

This fossil is presented on a custom made wood and metal display stand, designed to showcase the bone vertically allowing its impressive proportions and preservation to be fully appreciated.

North sea mammoth material of this scale is becoming increasingly difficult to obtain in part due to changes and restrictions affecting trawling practices in the region.

Complimentary DHL international express delivery is included with this specimen.

Due to its size the femur will be carefully packed and crated for transport. Please allow additional days (up to a week) for preparation prior to dispatch. Upon purchase a team member will be in contact to keep you updated on the delivery schedule.
