Underground fossils was founded on a passion for all things prehistoric and a life long love of natural history and the natural world. In 2024 Underground fossils boutique retail shop was opened, providing a lovingly displayed gallery like retail experience where every item is treated with the respect and care it deserves. We cater for a wide range of customers and clients from people just starting out collecting to serious collectors and people who just want something fascinating in their home.

Authentic fossils: 

We pride ourselves in the quality and honesty of our fossils and minerals. Almost all of our stock is carefully hand picked in person to ensure each item is of a good quality. A vast majority of our fossils come from a very reputable UK wholesaler who employ palaeontologists and provide honest assessments of the fossils for sale. This trust and honesty is at the heart of our business fossils are rarely perfect and we will always be honest and clear on any restoration or repairs done to a item. We are not palaeontologists ourselves and will always say if we do not know the answer to a question but will strive to find the correct answer using our range of highly qualified contacts. Our staff however do know allot about the fossil and mineral trade and check all of our new stock carefully for any sings of repairs or restoration using techniques like UV lighting, magnification, microscopes and more to make the best assessment of each item we sell.
