SHIPPING POLICY

All payments are made using Square payments secure payment system.

Small items up to £50 will be sent via Royal Mail 24 tracked delivery for £5. 

​

Items over £50 will be sent Royal mail 24 tracked and signed for £8 

​

Free DPD next working day or Royal mail special delivery on orders over £150 delivery methods will depend on the size and weight of each item. 

​

All items are dispatched within 24 hours of the order being placed Mon-Fri (orders placed Friday may be dispatched Monday and delivered by Tuesday due to the weekend)

All items will be securely packed, we only use high quality delivery services to ensure your delicate items arrive safely.

Urgent next day deliveries can be arranged for an additional fee please contact the store if you have any special delivery requirements we are always happy to help.  

International shipping: 

We ship to most countries in USA, Canada and Europe.

We have a flat shipping fee of £25 

WE DO NOT COVER IMPORT TAXES AND COUNTRIES IMPORT FEES OR ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES. We only cover the shipping cost of an item. The item will be insured and we will not declare any item as a lower value than it is worth. It is up to each customer to check their countries import and delivery processes. It is also the customers responsibility to check that they can import the items to their country. 

International items may be returned if your not happy with them but the postage and fees are at the customers expense and the item must arrive back in the exact condition we sent it in before refunds are given. 

If an item arrives broken please let the shop know within 48 hours of receiving the parcel and we may issue a refund if the item is broken by the courier (this is at our discretion). 

If you cannot find your country on our shipping list please contact the store and we will see if we can arrange shipping to your destination. ​

please note: we can only ship fossils and minerals to the EU due to new product safety regulations we cannot send any jewellery, models or home décor items to countries in the EU. 

RETURN & EXCHANGE POLICY

We do accept returns for up to 14 days under our buy with confidence guarantee but the buyer must pay the return postage unless the item is damaged or faulty.

 

The item must arrive back to us in the same condition it was sold. Any damages or alterations will result in a refund being refused.

We closely examine new fossils for fakes or signs of restoration. we will always be open and honest about any restoration or repairs. If you are unhappy with a fossil you can return it and we will issue a refund once the item arrives and is inspected by ourselves. We are also happy to ask our very knowledgeable wholesalers for validation of any fossil if needed. Please note all of our fossils will have damages/repairs, this is actually, usually considered a good sign the item is genuine as fossils rarely have zero faults, it is usual for our fossils to be glued, repaired or have cracks in them.

If your item arrives damaged or is lost please notify the shop within 48hours with a photo of any damages and we will issue a refund.

All of our fossils are genuine and we offer a guarantee on all fossils. 

If a fossil ever turned out to be fake we would provide a full refund.

Our general definitions or examples of a fake would be: 100% man made, completely incorrect with no fossilised features or a completely made up species using parts of old non related fossils to miss represent a species.

Repairs and reconstructed sections of fossil are not fakes, please be aware that nearly all fossils are damaged and repaired on some way using a variety of preparation techniques. We will always be open as to the extent of the damages and repairs used and will state clearly if something has been largely restored or heavily repaired. Sometimes fillers or plaster jackets are used to keep a fossil stable and prevent it from falling apart so this is not always a bad thing. We will always be honest and provide the best information we can on any repairs to the fossil in the preparation process. 

We strive to provide accurate identification but the vast array and frequently changing scientific data means sometimes things get mistakenly miss identified or science updates a name or local of a fossil. Again this dose not constitute as fake.

our home wear range is made from genuine fossils and fossil rock but please be aware it is more classified as decorative and sometimes the producers do change details or add them in favour of looks. We always get good quality products from very good suppliers so this is rarely the case but we always say to our customers treat the home wear as more decorative than collector.  

Assessments of the fossils must be made by a professional. We reserve the right to refuse refunds if the majority of professional opinions are in favour of the item being genuine.

The item would need to be returned to the store by the buyer and postage paid by the buyer before any refunds were given.

We are always very honest and fair so if there is every any doubt please contact us and we are very happy to discuss and find information where needed from our extremely knowledgeable suppliers and we also strongly encourage buyers to ask for photos and video clips of the fossil, we always supply these if needed. We also encourage buyers to do their own research before buying, even museums have been fooled in the past and some of the fakes or heavily resorted fossils on the market are becoming harder to spot. Please remember it is in no ones interest to sell fake fossils and certainly not ours. We have never had an issue with this to date.
