A striking centre piece for a collection or a thoughtfully styled interior, this 38cm composite mosasaur skull from Morocco brings prehistoric character to the modern home. Presented on a metal display stand its sculptural form creates a commanding focal point.

Construction and fossil content:

This is a constructed composite display, assembled from genuine fossil bone and teeth from multiple mosasaurs, including different species. It dose not represent a single individual specimen or an intact naturally preserved skull.

The fossil elements have been combined with cementing, stabilising and restoration materials to reinforce the assembly, bridge missing areas and create the skulls overall form. The genuine fossil teeth are cemented into the reconstructed jaw and do not have their original roots.

Its appeal lies in the the combination of genuine fossil material and a dramatic reconstruction silhouette creating an impressive display piece for those drawn to natural history and distinctive interiors.
