A nice quality Mesohippus horse tooth fossil from the white river group South Dakota, USA attributed to Mesohippus cf. bairdi

This primitive horse species sometimes referred to as the three toe horse lived during the Oligocene 30-34 million years ago. This piece has nice enamel and a little section of jaw bone.

Has some repairs and a small amount of stabilisation work.

Comes in a plastic display case.

Size is 2.5cm long.
