A very well preserved tooth from a Basilosaurus, a remarkable early whale. 

At 10cm long this is a large and highly displayable tooth with good overall preservation. 

Basilosaurus was an early whale that inhabited warm seas during the Eocene. It was a fully aquatic prehistoric mammal and represents an important stage in the evolution of whales. 

Origin: Morocco. 

Age: Eocene. 

Size: 10cm long. 

Comes with a plastic display case to show case this wonderful fossil. 

This fossil displays some repairs and areas of natural damage as can commonly be encountered with a fossil of this age but is on over all very good condition tooth with good enamel.
